Introduction of myself

filed under: in our own best interest — Matthias @ 1:59 pm

When I started a few days ago at Squirrel one of my first tasks was to introduce myself on the blog. Here we go.

At Squirrel I will write my diploma. The thesis is not defined yet. I think I will write about the “Monetization of Social Communities”. Perhaps I can concretise my thesis to “Monetization of Social Communities through Virtual Goods”. However this I have to discuss with my professor first.

Within the company I will support Martin. I will be responsible for the content and the promotion of the closed beta. It is very exciting for me because everything is new, the work is very creative and the subject is very fascinating. I really appreciate the work and i am excited, whether our closed beta will pass the practical test.

In the next time you will find more posts in here from me because I am working together with Martin. I really looking forward to update you.

Goodbye and stay tuned.

The “Codeschnüffler” introduces himself

filed under: in our own best interest — Sebastian @ 12:00 pm

I guess it’s time to introduce myself. My name is Sebastian Schmitt, I am the CTO of our young company or as we say, the “Codeschnüffler” (engl. “code snooper”).

I’m currently writing my diploma thesis about the improvement of software testability by using design patterns. Within our company I am responsible for the development team as well as for the technical infrastructure. But of course I also do everything else necessary to ensure the success of our company. At the moment that’s concretely taking over the job of our future CFO like improving our financial planings and presenting our figures to investors and jurys.

As soon as we will get into the “hot phase” of the development of our “closed beta part”, you will see here some more posts from me.

Until then, hang in there!

We are searching.

filed under: in our own best interest — Martin @ 11:17 am

We are searching for people like us, people who want to change the world, or at least, the world of digital content.

To be precise we search for

  • a .NET / Silverlight programmer – qualifications: not necessarily a diploma in computer science, but experience in programming with .NET
  • a Chief Financing Officer – qualifications: worked as an accountant for two or three years for international clients; experience in international tax and finance law; no diploma required.
  • a Chief Marketing Officer – qualifications: worked for several years in the media and entertainment industry, preferred in the US.

Of course, you should be a team player and love to work much, but earn less, i.e. work for a startup and get rich in experience and – hope so – money. Sounds great? Then contact us.
