From Paris With Love: How To Get Fans on Facebook

filed under: business is an evolving success — Martin @ 6:15 pm

From Paris With Love is the second and latest collecting campaign Germany’s leading independent film distributor, Universum Film published on Facebook. Originally, Universum decided to take advantage of SnipClip’s social marketing tool to promote its movie Oceans (in Germany “Unsere Ozeane“). After a successful first campaign, we are pleased to announce that Universum decided to use SnipClip once again.

With the goal to gow and to engage the fan community of its movie on Facebook, Universum Film launched the SnipClip powered From Paris With Love fanbook. This fanbook contains a set of quotes and corresponding pictures from the movie and allows users to collect and to trade duplicate collectibles with their friends and family. Fans, who complete their collection participate in a sweepstake. The application is fully From Paris With Love branded and also connected to the movie’s official fanpage on Facebook. With just one click, users become a fan of the movie and are rewarded daily with bonus codes for free collectibles and additional in-game currency.

Kino.de Uses SnipClip to Engage its Fanbase and Broaden its Reach On Facebook

filed under: business is an evolving success — Martin @ 7:29 am

Nowadays, a fan page on Facebook is a must-have for every brand. Having a fan page alone, however, is not enough. A brand also has to activate and constantly engage its fans. It’s about turning passive fans into active brand advocates, who recommend the brand to their friends.

The website Kino.de attracts more than 4.6 million visits each month and it is the leading movie and cinema related website in Germany. The company behind Kino.de, Gruner + Jahr, is publisher of leading b-to-b and b-to-c print magazines with focus on films. With Kino.de, it also takes advantage of Facebook and so far, it has attracted more than 5000 fans, which makes it the largest German language movie  fan page on Facebook.

To further grow and engage its fan base, Kino.de now partners with SnipClip. The result of this partnership is a digital collector’s album featuring the movie highlights in March:

Kino.de Kinohighlights Fanbook

The collection consists of eight movie recommendations made by Kino.de. Each collectible shows the trailer of a recommended movie. Users gather “movie stars”, an in-game currency that they then exchange for collectibles. The goal of the users is to complete the collection. If they do so by March 25, users have the choice to enter a sweepstakes and the chance to win a Blu-ray DVD player and free movie tickets.

In order to have more trading partners for their duplicate collectibles, users want their friends to participate the game. Jointly, they will also be able to gather more movie stars. As a result, users are highly motivated to invite their friends to the game and thus, they spread the brand across their social network.

Growing the fan base is one goal. Activating and engaging existing fans is another one. Therefore, Kino.de also publishes bonuscodes that can be redeemed for collectibles on their fan page:

Bonuscode on Kino.de Fanpage

The availability of codes is limited and only the fans who click the link first get a copy of a specific collectible. As shown in the picture above, fans like those activities and they also comment on them. This results in increased exposure of the posts and the Kino.de. Further, it increases the value perception of being a fan: as a fan you receive bonuscodes automatically delivered to your Facebook news feed.

This leaves us with inviting you to become a fan of Kino.de, to play the collecting game and hopefully, to win one of the valuable prizes. Good luck!

Who Would You Choose? Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman or Kate Hudson?

filed under: business is an evolving success — Martin @ 10:06 am

Thanks to Senator Filmverleih (one of Top 5 of independent German theatrical distributors), you don’t have to choose, but you can have them all – provided that you complete SnipClip’s latest collection: the NINE-Fanbook. The Fanbook consists of eight collectibles showing short video clips of Daniel Day-Lewis, Marion Cotillard, Sophia Loren, Judi Dench, Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, Stacy Ferguson (Fergie of Black Eyed Peas) and Kate Hudson.

The first page of the NINE-Fanbook introduces the cast of the film version of the popular broadway musical NINE. Six of the actors are Oscars awardees and the movie was nominated for five Golden Globes. Thus, it is also a hot candidate for the upcoming 2010 Oscars. The movie will be released in theaters across Germany on Febuary 25.

February 25 is also the day when the first NINE sweepstake deadline will be coming up. SnipClip users who have completed their NINE-collection on Facebook by that day have a chance to win exciting prizes. So hurry up and make sure to invite your friends to help you completing your collection more quickly.

On a final note, we want to point you to a TV report about the SnipClip and the NINE campaign on Facebook.  n-tv, a German news station will broadcast the report four times between Saturday, January 30 and Thursday, February 4. To watch it online, click here.

Design Hotels and SnipClip Take You on a Road Trip

filed under: business is an evolving success — Martin @ 6:41 pm

Yesterday, we published a new Design Hotels fanbook on SnipClip! In my opinion, it’s the most beautiful collector’s book we have created so far. It takes you on a road trip throughout Europe and introduces you to some amazing Design Hotels in Spain, Germany & Switzerland, and Austria & Italy. The first slide (page) contains eight collectibles featuring luxury hotels in some of Spain’s most exciting cities.

Fanbook

Collectors, who complete the Roadtrip Spain Fanbook until September 31, enter a sweepstake to win two nights at the 5-star luxury Hotel Claris in Barcelona, Spain! So make sure to participate and complete the collection in time.

The Design Hotels AG represents over 170 luxury hotels in 40 countries. To become an official Design Hotel, hotels submit a member application and get certified. An official Yearbook showcases all member hotels and with help of SnipClip, Design Hotels now also offers an online collector’s book. This is available to all Facebook users and the almost 3000 fans of Design Hotels in the social network.

The Design Hotels Facebook fanpage also features a new SnipClip tab. Here, fans of Design Hotels (and only fans!) can click on the Design Hotels fanwall to get additional collectibles.

Additionally, collectors may also visit the Design Hotels’ web pages of the featured Roadtrip hotels in order to advance with their collection and discover more snips!
